Pay as you go DVD rental gives you the flexibility to pay for films as you watch them. It's popular with UK customers as it's a similar method to renting films from the high street store except you don't need to leave the comfort of your own home as your films are delivered to you for free with prices starting from just £2 per rental. With no contracts or monthly bills pay as you go is an excellent option if you don't have the time to watch films every day.

How PAYG Works

Pay as you go (PAYG) DVD rental works by letting you buy credits in advance. With Lovefilm and easyCinema these credits last 3 months. When you want to watch a movie you just log into their site and use your credit to rent the movie that you want. Delivery is free by first class post which normally takes about one or two days for your DVD's to arrive.

Lovefilm and easyCinema both offer two types of PAYG DVD rental plans which are Auto Top-Up and Non-Auto Top Up:

Auto Top Up ensures that you have continious supply credits. When your exisiting batch of credits have run out, Auto Top Up will automatcially buy you a new batch of credits, so you don't have to remember to keep topping up your credits.

Non-Auto Top-Up Standard plans expire after you have used all rental credits or after 3 months (whichever is earlier) without being rebilled. If you continue to hold any DVDs after your credits have expired you will automatically be charged for a new batch of credits at your current plan rate.

Streamed Movies

Lovefilm's PAYG service also gives you access to over 2000 streamed films which you can watch instantly online when you subscribe to any of their unlimited DVD PAYG rental packages.
